Come train with the champ - Mr. Hercule Satan! He has a huge dojo established, where he trains people in his style of martial arts. He may have been lacking back in the days of Dragon Ball Z, but since 1000 years have passed, he's become pretty awesome. Goku taught Mr. Satan all the tricks the Z-Fighters use, such as ki blasts, flight, and so forth, and he's been developing his powers and skills as a fighter ever since. Though, his repertoire of actual 'special' techniques is still lacking. Because Hercule prefers to fight the old fashioned way, without using any 'tricks', as he's been calling them since his encounter with Cell all those centuries ago. This is where you are able to learn new techniques. Each technique takes 20 posts in this thread to learn. Every technique has an upgrade. To upgrade a technique you must take 10 more posts here. Once you have upgraded, you can either use the regular or upgraded form of it - you are not restricted to using the upgraded form only. Not long after leaving Yamcha, Shiro noticed a very large building, larger, possibly, than even the gate to the after life. "Who in the world live here?" he asked himself, before adjusting his course slightly to reach it.

Shiro reached the door and looked inside. The first room was empty of people, but highly decorated, filled with indoor fountains, wall scrolls, and small statues. Whoever owns this dojo certainly like to show off. Shiro thought, frowning a little.

He stepped into the building itself and went down the hallway on the right. There were several doors down this way, and he stuck his ear to one. He heard someone calling out numbers, followed by the sound of movement. Kata.

Shiro listened at the next door. Again, he heard someone calling out numbers, followed by the sound of muffled impacts. They're practicing strikes.

The next door was open and Shiro looked inside. There were only five people in here, four young looking humans, maybe in their twenties, and one older man who looked maybe fifty. However, when he noticed the halos, he realized that they could very well be hundreds of years old. Suddenly, I feel very young.

The older looking man appeared to be the teacher, and held in high regard by those he was teaching. Shiro then noted that all four of the young men had black belts, while the older man had on white. Although, considering his gi, I doubt that's a sign of rank.

"I said get in here, squirt!"
Shiro started and realized that all five people were looking at him. Uh oh, busted, he thought, embarrassed at being caught spying.

Shiro shuffled in the room, grinning sheepishly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt." But the old man just waved him off.
"No problem. I, the great Hercule, can't refuse anyone wishing to be my student."

Hercule! Shiro's eyes widened. This was the man his hometown was named after? Shiro had to admit, the statues across the city seemed to have exaggerated a bit regarding his height. And muscle size. And lack of afro. In fact, this Hercule looked almost nothing like the one depicted.

Then again, he thought, I can't think of two statues of him that look the same either. I guess the artists just wanted to make him look grander or something. He ignored the other possibility, that Hercule himself had made those changes to his statues.

As Shiro was thinking, he had sat down next to another of the students. "Alright, today, I'm gonna be teaching you guys how to use my legendary Megaton Punch!" The other four gasped in amazement, but Shiro kept calm. He'd seen the Megaton Punch before, it was one of his dad's favorites. I'm almost surprised I don't know it already.

"Alright, I suppose I better give you guys a demonstration first, so you know what to do." Hercule turned so his side was facing his students, and entered a basic front stance. "You just focus your energy into your fist." He punched. "And release it when you connect with your opponent. Any questions?"

13.
"Yeah, um." Shiro turned to look at the new speaker. "By energy, you mean ki, right?"
Hercule nodded. "That's right. I know I teach you guys not to use ki, but this is different. This uses your ki the way it was meant to be used, to strengthen your body. Not thrown around like a bunch of flashy grenades or something."

The students seemed to accept that and there were no more questions. Hercule clapped his hands. "Well then, partner up and practice on each other." The four others stood and immediately partnered with each other, leaving Shiro on his own.

Hercule nodded at the two pairs as they started practicing, then frowned when he noticed Shiro. "Didn't you hear me? Partner up with someone?"
Shiro looked around the room. "There's no one left."

Hercule looked around, and frowned. "Oh, I you're right. Well then, I guess you'll have to practice on me." He stuck out his chest and thumped it. "Just give me your best shot, let's see how you do."
Shiro nodded and entered a stance.

"Now don't hold back, I can handle anything you might throw at me, kid." If it weren't for the fact that Hercule's reputation suggested that were true, Shiro would have been very annoyed at that comment. Don't hold back, huh?

Shiro focused on his energy, pulling it out of himself. He found this easier to do than before, for some reason. Probably because I've learned how to use ki, finally.

19.
Shiro felt his energy rise even before he finished preparing his ki for his Meditation technique. Weird, I've never felt this before. It's like I poked a hole in my energy supply, or made the existent hole even bigger or something. I feel stronger, now.

20.
Shiro felt very strong a moment later, as his Meditation activated. He looked at Hercule, who'd been standing there bored for several seconds, and practically flew at him, striking him right on the chin. For a second, nothing happened.
...
Then, Hercule flew backwards, landing at the base of the wall in a daze.

1.
The four other students stared at Shiro, who in turn stared at Hercule, who in turn, stared at opposite sides of the room. What happened to 'I can handle anything you might throw at me?' he wondered, a bit smug. He had just knocked out the man his hometown was named after.

2.
All present were surprised when Hercule blinked suddenly and stood up. "Whew, that was some punch, kid. If you already knew the technique, you should have told me."
Actually, you should have asked me what I wanted to learn, but...

Hercule brushed himself off and looked at the other four students. "Well, shouldn't you four be practicing?" As they returned to their own practice, Hercule looked at Shiro.

Hercule pulled Shiro out of the room and closed the door behind them. "You're a lot stronger than my other students. Who are you? I've never seen you before."
"I'm Shiro. From Hercule city, actually."

"Oh, so you're from my city, are you. That explains it. There must be a ton of strong fighters in my city. But I bet none of them could match me, hahaha!" Insert sweatdrop here. Shiro thought as he watched the ancient fighter pat himself on the back.

6.
Hercule calmed down after a few moments, turning serious. "Seriously, though, you're definitely stronger than my other students. No one under fifty years old knows the Megaton Punch."
Not where I come from, gramps.

Hercule started laughing again. "Of course, you could be almost my age, for all I know. Stupid stuck at the age you died stuff, huh?" But Shiro shook his head.
"Actually, I don't think it's even been a week since I died."

Hercule nodded. "I see. Then you really are just plain skilled." He closed his eyes, then opened them after a second, apparently deciding on something. "Alright, how about I teach you another nifty technique? What do you say?"
Shiro nodded. He did come here hoping to train, after all.

Hercule nodded and slapped Shiro on the back. "Great, let's get started then!" And he slammed open the door, knocking aside the four students who had been eavesdropping on them.
