Hercule glared at the students, who quickly got up and resumed their practicing. Hercule lead Shiro to a corner of the room that wasn't filled with equipment or used by the other pairs. "Alright, what I'm about to teach you is a technique called the Dynamite Kick."

Shiro listened as Hercule described the technique. "The Dynamite Kick is a lot like the Megaton Punch. Basically, you fill your leg with ki and release it when you kick. That adds more kick to your kick, so to speak."

Shiro nodded. Seemed simple enough.
"Well, if you think you've got it, why don't you try using it?"

Shiro entered a basic stance and closed his eyes. He focused on his ki, trying to gather it into his legs. He was surprised to find that this was harder than using ki in his arms.

After a moment he felt that he had enough ki prepared. At that moment he delivered a basic snap kick at Hercule, hitting the older fighter with enough force to send him back a step. But he found he had released the ki just a bit too late, and into the wrong target.

A second after putting his foot down, the ground around Shiro's feet exploded, sending shards of wood flying into his legs and feet. Fortunately, there was no basement or anything underneath, just the concrete foundation. Ok, note to self, don't use Dynamite kick on the ground you're standing on.

Still, Shiro kept note of that effect, even as Hercule criticized him. If he could kick the ground, then jump away while his opponent attacked, it would make quite an effective trap. Assuming, of course, he managed to get the timing right.

Shiro only half listened to Hercule, and was still nodding a second after the old teacher stopped talking. "You didn't bother listening to a word I said, did you?"
Shiro was honest. "Not one."

Hercule sighed. Then, quite suddenly, he slammed his fist down on Shiro's head. "DON'T JUST IGNORE ME, KID! I SAVED THE WORLD, YOU KNOW!"

Shiro rubbed his head and got into a stance. He closed his eyes again and focused his ki. Now that he knew what he was expecting, it was easier to gather the ki. Guess I just need to practice a bit more.

Shiro delivered another snap kick to Hercule's chest. This time, when he stepped, the explosion was centered on older hero. But, to Shiro's surprise, Hercule hadn't moved an inch.

"Not bad, kid. You've learned all the techniques I can teach you. Unless you want to make them stronger, or something."
Shiro shook his head. "I think I'm good with these, thanks."

Shiro thanked Hercule for his help and left the dojo. So that's the founder of my home city. he thought as he left. He's about as crazy as dad.
