This planet is rather beautiful... or it should be. On one side of the planet live the 'Fruits', and on the other side live the 'Vegetables'. A war has been going on between these two sides for years, since they both want to have complete control over the planet.
The planet itself looks like a giant strawberry, so it's no surprise that the Fruits believe that they are the rightful rulers.
Occasionally, between the two halves, you may find a small run-down village of Tomatoes. Because they're actually Fruits, they won't be accepted by the Vegetables, but the Fruits are too dense to welcome the Tomatoes and still insist that they are Vegetables... Poor Tomatoes.
P.S. No eating the inhabitants.

“Hmhmhm… My dear sir, open your eyes, I have always worn a space suit. The helmet is just in my quarters.” Royd chuckled and drank his tea. After a few moments the computer communicated to Royd in it’s eerie, whispered voice that the ship had arrived in orbit and was preparing for landing. Nodding to the computer’s message, he looked up at the ceiling projection and raised an eyebrow at the odd appearance of the planet.
“The computer tells me that we have arrived… That’s uh, not a particularly normal looking planet.” he stated.
While the two continued to talk, the ship’s immense hull pitched up as she entered the planet’s atmosphere. The antigravity drive powered up and slowed their descent, angling the ship towards what the computer believed to be the northern hemisphere. Within minutes the huge vessel slowed bellow the speed of sound and lowered it’s landing legs, touching down with a deep rumble.

The 6-Star Dragon Ball is in possession by the Oranges... or it was... recently, just out of spite in revenge, the Tomatoes stole the ball and now have it for themselves. The Oranges want it back... but there are some Onions who are planning to attack the Tomato Faction in possession of the Dragon Ball... and once they see that ball, they'll want it!
So, the ball will be under dispute by these three races... on the opposite side of the planet from where you all landed.
Getting the ball will not be easy, since any outsider who takes a spoil of war will then be attacked by the armies... and even for people with your power levels, these beings, en-mass, can put up quite a fight, and with good strategy, too, oftentimes.
You cannot take the ball until a minimum of exactly 24 hours have passed after this post, AND you must make it to page 3 of this topic.
P.S. Ace, since your character wants to die... it shouldn't be hard... these beings have various kinds of weaponry... from metal blade-types to bullet-firing types... I'm sure that if you suppressed your power they could easily kill you just by standing yourself in the cross-fire.

Ace blinked, dropping his hands from his face, and looked at Royd. After a few seconds, he blinked. "Oh...right..." he said in a slightly embarressed tone.He shook his head. Jeeze...am I really that unattentive?
He followed Royd's gaze up to the ceiling and just blinked at the planet's appearance. "Uh...no, it doesn't specifically look normal..." he agreed. "But...it could be worse..."

Feeling the planet’s increased gravity upon the ship’s landing, Royd grumbled to himself and stood up with the aid of his cane. With Talia still resting he couldn’t exactly consult her about the delay in getting her back to her home world. She was free to request that he taker her back at once but then of course that would mean delaying their finding of the rest of the dragon balls and potential dooming Earth, something he was quite sure she didn’t want.
“Well I suppose we should be off then. The odds of running into two narcotic planets in a row are astronomical so I shall leave my helmet here for now.” Royd stated as he moved towards the iris door that leads to the corridor.

Ace stood up. He cracked his neck and clenched his hand, which had stopped bleeding, but was still a bloody sight. He would get over it, but the stinging pain would reming him for a while, at least, of how easy it was to fall into this...'drug' induced depression. "True... The odds would seem to be stacked pretty high agaisnt that," he said. "But even so, I'd recommend caution, but that's a given." With that said, he just followed Royd. He had next to no clue of his way around the ship, so he was thankful Royd would come along for yet another reason.

Stepping through the iris door into the residential corridors, Royd made his way strait down the length of the hallway to a matching iris door on the other end. I fact the only way one might tell one end of the corridor from the other is that the lighting at the lounge door was tinted red while the lighting at the transport tube was gold to match the opulent décor.
The door opened automatically allowing the two to enter the lift and once inside Royd selected the cargo deck on the control panel. Within moments they were off and in short order arrived in the vast, empty cargo hold.
“I hope Talia will be ok up in the lounge when she wakes up.” Royd stated as they crossed the hold and headed for the boarding ramp.

Ace glanced around the hall as he followed Royd. Yes, the ship still impressed him, and it probably would for quite some time. With the slightest glow of blue, he produced a pair of sunglasses from nowhere, placing them on. Possibly to hide the random tears that fell from his eyes, but who can say?
He didn't say anything, until he heard Royd's statement. "I'm sure she will." he said. He didn't mean it to sound so...flat, but he was trying to keep from betraying the horrible thoughts in his mind in his voice, so it was one or the other.

“Mmm. Computer, if Talia wakes before I return, please activate my holographic avatar and inform her that she is safe and that I am outside. If she needs help leaving the ship, use the avatar to lead her to the cargo hold and out.” Royd instructed and then turned back to the boarding ramp as it lowered to the ground outside.

Ace remained quiet. He was too busy thinking to do much else at the moment. I've got to keep it together... If I die... It'll be up to Royd to save the Earth, if he would be willing to... But I don't want to put that off on someone else if I can help it... So I'll do my damnest not to let myself get killed, or kill myself! Ace clenched his bloody fist at this.
For the next few moments, at least, he would be safe. But beyond that...

Plodding down the ramp, Royd took in the strange view as he descended to the ground. The grass of all colors was red as were the majority of the trees, adding to the bizarre world’s crimson appearance from space. Having only ever visited Earth but knowing this place was by no means normal, Royd deferred to Ace’s judgment about what they should do.
“I am at a bit of a loss as to what our next course of action should be. How does one usually go about locating these dragon balls anyway?” he asked, looking back.

Ace looked around the area of the planet, and just...mentally facepalmed. No wonder it looked so strange...it WAS strange. He shook his head, letting out a sigh of exasperation, rather than depression. "Well, as for locating the Dragonballs..." He reached into his pockets, and after a bit of searching, pulled out his normal, planet-wide radar. "This should give us the location, within a few dozen feet."
He pressed the button to turn it on. "Hmm..." He turned and pointed. "Says it's that way...but quite a ways off, as far as distances on planets go."

“Mmmm. Then it is likely too far for me to walk. I could barely make it from the ship to the city back on Earth.” Royd replied. “We could take the ship back up once the antigravity drive cool down and fly it there though. Or perhaps see if there is some other form of transportation about.” he suggested, hoping desperately that extended walking was not required.

"Hmm..." Ace returned his radar to his pocket, tapping his chin in thought. After a moment, the obvious answer came to him! "Royd... Can you, by any chance, fly?" he asked. He immediately knew how odd the question must sound, but he didn't rephrase it. He just let it be. If Royd couldn't, then he had a suggestion he would offer, but if he could then thigns would be sped up considerably.

“Me? Fly? No I’m afraid not. That is a function best left to my ship and hover cars, as I can barely walk. I know that it is possible for people with great enough control over their energy to fly though, but that particular lesson was never programmed into the computer.” Royd replied at length. “Why do you ask?”

"Because, if you could, it would cut the time of our search drastically," Ace said, waving his hand in the air distractedly. "I thought you might be able to... I need to stop assuming things blindly." He shook his head. "But I suppose it can't be helped... But perhaps when you do have enough control over your energy I'll see if I can't teach you how to fly."
"But, for now, we can wait on your ship, or I can give you a lift myself to where the Dragonball is located."

“I like to think I have excellent control, just not in that particular area.” Royd replied and looked off in the direction Ace indicated. “Well it will take the engines about fifteen to twenty minutes to cool down. Atmospheric flight is very stressful on a ship this large. As for carrying me though, I’m not entirely sure that would be the most dignified mode of transport. But if you insist on it I can’t refuse.” he added.

Ace chuckled. "True enough, true enough..." he said, in regards to Royd's comment about control. "And yeah...I can imagine how it would be stressful for a ship of this size..." He shrugged slightly. "And, as for that... Dignified, probably not, but it would be the most expeditious method." And so, with that, unless Royd had any objections, moved to pick up Royd in the least awkward way possible, and then leapt up, going straight up until he was just under three stories off the ground, before taking off in the direction the radar had indicated

“That it may be… Very well, just don’t drop me please.” Royd replied and allowed himself to be picked up. Grasping his cane near the middle, he kept a tight grip on it. The liftoff was unexpectedly smooth but that didn’t mean it wasn’t somewhat terrifying. Were he not wearing gloves with his space suit, it would be plainly visible that Royd was gripping his cane with such force as to turn his knuckles white.

"Don't worry," Ace said. "I don't drop my passengers." And off he went, keeping a level speed and course. He had picked up on the fact that Royd seemed somewhat terrified, and got a slight mental chuckle out of it. It reminded him of his first attempt at flight...several years ago, it had been...and ended with a severe head injury, but that was all water under the bridge now.
"Royd, if you can...can you get the radar and check our course? I'd rather not drift off from the right path and miss our target."

“Um… Sure…” Royd replied, taking a few moments to work up the courage even just to the move. Once he had though, the dark haired man swapped his cane into his other hand and then carefully reached down and into Ace’s pocket. Having observed which one he’d put the radar into, he thankfully did not have to go searching for it. Producing the scanning device he held it out high enough so that Ace could see it, and proceeded to slowly scroll through the different scale selections so they could note the ball’s exact distance.

Ace looked at the radar for a moment, then nodded. "Thank you," he said, and corrected his course just slightly to his right. Not much off course, but enough to miss it at the distance it's still at. "Well, according to that, it's practically on the other side of the planet. So i'm gonna put on some more speed." With that said, his ki picked up around him, and he shot forward. Aside from the initial kick of the increase in speed, it would be just as smooth as before in terms of flight, but naturally a bit more stressful as far as wind went.

Placing the radar into one of the storage pockets on his suit sense they were more accessible, Royd nodded tried to tuck his head into his space suit’s collar as best he could. Once they’d finished accelerating to their new top speed though he definitely wished he’d taken his helmet with him.

Ace didn't even register whatever Royd might have done in response to his statement about, and then, actually speeding up. He was rather occupied with what he saw below on the ground. What appeared to be fruit...marching in formation...with weapons... "Have I gone crazy...?" he mumbled.

With the rushing wind and being occupied with trying to stay still, Royd missed what Ace had said. Having his head tucked in low and peeking over the rim of his suit’s neck to see where they were going, he did not have a good view of the ground, not that he wanted to see it anyway since they were moving to fast and at such a height.

"Fruit...in formation...with weapons...marching..." OR, at least, those were the audible words in what he said, the rest being mumbled under his breath. He was seriously starting to think he was losing it, which further reinforced his reasoning, that, perhaps...dieing might not be so bad... The only thing keeping him from trying right now was the fact he had a mission set in front of him, and of course, Royd, to worry about at the moment.

“What?!” Royd called out into the wind. “What are you talking about?” he added and poked his head out a little further. Looking down to get a better idea of his surroundings, the young man’s eyes went wide at the strange sight bellow.
“Are you seeing that? What are they?” he asked grabbed his cane just a little tighter.

"Yeah, I'm seeing it..." Ace said, though he wasn't quite sure what he was seeing. "I have no idea what they are...but they look like...fruit..." He closed his eyes for several seconds, then opened them, trying to make sure he wasn't seeing things, and...they were still there. "Well...fantastic...fighting fruit..." He sighed.
"Well...this makes things interesting..."

“Indeed. Well let’s just hope for three things. One, that they don’t see us. Two if they do, that they are friendly. And three, if they aren’t, hope they don’t have anything that can reach us.” Royd replied. Peeking over again he too couldn’t believe the bizarre sight.

Ace nodded. "You got that right," he said. "I'd rather not have to fight off fruit." He had to admit, just saying that was awkward. IT would have been funny to him...had he not been feeling so down. But something Royd said made Ace mentally pause... If they are hostile... It could be a good way to end it all...
