Shiro was forced into his seat when the ship took off, the sudden extreme gravity being completely unexpected. After a while though, things settled down, and Shiro was able to relax. Now, how to set this thing to go to Namek...

Shiro reached into the ship's equivalent of a dash board. He pulled out a thick book and flipped through it. The book was the ship's instruction manual.

Shiro flipped to the table of contents, then to the section about navigation. He completely skipped over the sections on safety, advisories, and warnings, finally stopping at the part he wanted. "Now, let's see, how do you get this thing to move...?"

"'Traveling the planets. There are two ways to pilot this ship: manually and autopilot. Manual control works similarly to a car, with the controls themselves nearly identical. The only difference is the gear to the left of the pilot's seat which controls the ship's "height".

"'Autopilot allows the user to select from a list of preentered worlds and has the ship travel to them automatically. Spatial coordinates may also be entered and new locations saved for further travels. This method is recommended for all new users.'"

Shiro nodded. I guess autopilot it is. Now, how to select a planet? Shiro read through the instructions and soon enough, he was off to New Namek.

Shiro sat back in the seat, deciding to play with his scouter for the duration of the trip. He soon found the song select screen, which had a pitifully small selection. Guess I have to download them, or something.

It wasn't long before the ship beeped, informing him that he was approaching New Namek. Shiro returned the scouter to it's basic display and got ready to land. A few minutes later, the ship entered the atmosphere.

Shiro finished inputting the coordinates for Earth, then sat back in his seat. He looked out the window. Now, I wonder how long it'll take me to get to Earth?

I wonder if Cacao needs to visit Earth for anything? Shiro thought suddenly, pressing a button on his ship to stop it. Too bad she doesn't have a scouter or I could just ask her from here, but... He turned the ship around and flew it back.

Shiro sat back, watching the stars fly by. Well, I just left, it shouldn't take too long to get back. He yawned again, trying to wake up still.

Shiro once more entered the coordinates for Earth, letting the ship do the piloting for him. "Well, it should only be a few minutes. Make yourself at home until then."

Cacao didn't even pay attention to the human, approaching one of the seats and near immediately collapsing onto it. She had been flying the entirety of the previous night, so she was pretty damn tired.

Shiro watched Cacao fall into one of the chairs and shook his head. She looked tired, though why he wasn't sure. Turning back to the console, Shiro himself sat back and looked out the main window, watching the stars fly by.

Cacao watched the window, looking almost as if she would fall asleep before too long. But she was wide-awake, despite outward appearances. She had to be, considering the current situation...

Shiro turned his thoughts to his last battle. I guess I shouldn't underestimate someone just because they've got a lower power level than I do. He figured, rubbing his right arm.

/It's been a while since I fought someone...excluding that...'thing'./ Cacao noted, half considering letting herself lose consciousness for just a bit. The fourteen year old remembered the last fight she had...and almost immediately, her arm stung.

Still, who'd have thought she'd be so tricky? Shiro wondered, before his thoughts were distracted by the beeping coming from the console. "Looks like we're almost there," he said, loud enough for Cacao to hear.

A simple nod was the only response Shiro'd get, the fourteen year old seeming a tad annoyed. She had almost settled upon taking quick nap, but the trip had already come and gone. Oh well...at least she was off Namek...even if it was temporary.

The ship broke through the atmosphere and Shiro again set it to Namek. Again, he sat back, leaving the ship to do all the work. And again, he watched the stars fly past. Not like there was much else he could do.

Yawning, the fourteen year old popped the bean into her mouth. Sure, it may not be the best of decisions considering other factors, but she was exhausted and in a fuck load of pain. And after a restless night of sleep followed by flying around to get used to the ability for another, she definitely needed some kind of boost. And almost immediately, her stamina returned to her, the fourteen year old feeling as though she had just woken up from the greatest rest of all time.

Shiro caught what Cacao did in the rearview mirror - Why does this thing have a mirror when it doesn't have a rear windshield? - and frowned. "Are you sure it's wise to use that already? You might need it when we fight that whale thing."

"Would you rather me walk into a fight on the verge of collapse...?" She asked, leaning back in her chair and watching the window. Despite the disappearance of her exhaustion, the fourteen year old was still in a rather terrible mood considering the events that had transpired.

"Good point," he conceded, resisting the urge to add, 'but you could fix that by just taking a nap.' Her response had been enough to ward him off further arguing. Instead he returned his attention to the stars, wondering how much longer they had.

"Besides...If I tried to sleep, I wouldn't wake up for a long time." The hybrid added, feeling her use of the bean was justified. She was beginning to calm down, though she held onto a bit of her anger for the inevitable battle.
She definitely wanted another shot at stomping that whale android thingy into the ground after the sheer oddness it had displayed.

"Well, let's just hope it doesn't bite you in the end," was Shiro's reply. After that he waited for the alarm that signaled they were nearing the planet to start up, before making adjustments to land.

/It probably will.../ She noted mentally, now focusing on the ceiling overhead. At least she was refreshed...and nuking the lake had made her feel much better. So she was ready for whatever came her way...hopefully.

Shiro pressed a few more buttons on the control panel, then sat back as the ship returned to Earth. He was silent, spending his time thinking about the fight with the strange copycat fighter. How exactly are we supposed to beat such a strong opponent?

A few minutes of silence would pass as Cacao questioned if she should even ask whether or not their opponent had been defeated...Something inside told her that she wouldn't want to hear the answer. To lose so badly without managing much at all...or in her case, giving the enemy a new technique, would be one hell of a horrific thing to deal with...

He wasn't just copying me. He actually turned into me! How is that even possible? Shiro shook his head. No, that's not important. What I need to think of is a way to beat him.
