This city isn't so bad, it looks like quite a good place to live, but the crime rate is extremely high. It's also the most densely populated city on Earth next to West City, and due to all the martial artists walking around, the average ki level is higher than other cities.
Also, if you are evil, you can do some killing and destruction here! If you are good, it's up to you to stop them. Or you can just fight crime.

The boat landed off the shore and someone offered Reiji a ride to Hurcule City. He Accepted the offer and ended up here after not too long.

He said bye the person who gave him the ride here and headed off to the dojo to see his master. It wasn't that far from where he was dropped off so he stretched a bit and ran towards the dojo.

Reiji arrived back in town with his new found power. He jumped around a bit and did some jumping jacks. "I need to go find a place to train now. I think i'll go out to my usual seclusion spot." Reiji headed out of the town.

Reiji and Heater would arrive in hercule city in a matter of minutes. When they got to the outskirts of the city, Reiji would have the nimbus go down to the ground where Heater could get off Safely. "Here we are, Hercule City. The Dojo is in the center of Town."

Heater landed safely, then looked at him and then said, "Thanks. See ya at the tournament."

"No Problem. See you too." Reiji would then take off on the flying nimbus.

Once Ian was out the door he took off down the street at a dead sprint. He needed to get to the air field as soon as possible. Maybe he could catch a ride on the next flight to Papaya Island. Or maybe he could get dropped there with a parachute. Yeah, that last option sounded like a blast to him.

The weights he was wearing weren't quite wearing him down yet. He knew he was moving slower than normal, and if he kept on running he'd get worn out faster than normal, but right now things weren't too bad. He was crossing streets without looking, but he hadn't been hit by any cars yet and he was almost to the airport.

A kick off of the ground and a leap over a construction crew later and Ian was rounding the corner and headed down the sidewalk of the street that lead to the airport. Just a little longer and he'd be able to get a flight...hopefully.

Once he made it to the airport he stopped sprinting, knowing that it was against the law to sprint around in a crowded airport. It seemed as though Ian was in luck, though. The man who'd given him a ride from the north down to Hercule city in his plane was here. That must have meant his plane was here as well. "Scott! Hey, Scott!" Ian called to his friend.

The man turned around and smiled. He extended his hand for Ian to shake, "Good to see you, Ian. I can tell you've been training hard. You gonna enter the Tenkaichi Budokai?"
Ian paused for a moment to catch his breath now and held up one finger as if to say 'hold on a sec'. "Uhm...about that...Scott...I was hoping...that you could fly me...to the island..."

"Ah, sure, Ian. My plane just came out of the repair hangar today. I needed a reason to give it a full flight test anyway. Come with me and we'll head out," Scott motioned for Ian to follow and soon they went out through one of the side exits of the airport.
"Thanks a lot, comrade. I'd been hoping to make the trip to the island easy. I know the tournament will start soon, so I knew I had to sign up soon if I was going to," Ian replied.

Being friends from high school and college, the two joked all the way to the plane. They reminisced about old times during pre-flight preparations, and then when the time for take-off came they were silent. The take-off went well and they were in the air. Despite the trouble they had hearing each other over the plane's engine, they still were able to continue getting to know how each other had been over the past two and a half years. The flight would be short though.

Ian and Scott soon landed back at the Hercule City airport. Scott's ship went to the hangar to get refueled before his return trip to the snowy highlands. "It's been good catching up, Scott. I'll see you at the tournament, right?" Ian asked his friend.

"Indeed, Ian. I'll be there to watch you. Good luck. See you around," Scott said as he waved goodbye and turned to head into the hangar. Ian nodded and turned to head back through the airport and back into the city.

He still had his bag hanging behind him as he ran through the city. Perhaps it was time to pay a visit to one of the local shops. He could use a bite to eat, too. With these things in mind, Ian knew the best place to go would be the plaza mall.

He stopped at the first intersection he came to because cars were rushing through from multiple directions. He kept jogging in place while he waited, though, and once the light changed to red so he could cross he was off.

He sprinted through two more intersections in a similar fashion to the previous one. After the third intersection, though, he quickly turned right and kept running that way. All this running would be good training. He hoped, at least.

Three city blocks later and the plaza was in sight. He turned down another street and headed straight for it. Hopefully he could find something useful at the plaza. Maybe something to aid him in training. He has weights, but maybe there was something else. He didn't know.

Only a short while later Ian was standing in the parking lot in front of the plaza mall. He smirked as he took a moment to catch his breath, wiping the sweat from his brown as he did so. He sighed and then marched into the mall to see what they had for sale....

Heater sighed, and looked around. "Well, maybe I should take a nap first." Then, he walked over to a nearby wall, laid against it, and, fell asleep soon after.

As Ian left the mall and walked through the parking lot he noticed a very strange figure leaning against the wall. Ian decided to go examine it since he'd ran into someone who looked similar in the past. That weird red guy named Garek who liked to drink a shitton. Maybe this guy was similar.
When he got close enough he noticed that the person was sleeping. Why would they sleep against the wall of the front of the plaza mall. There were hotels, motels, and all manners of bed and breakfasts nearby. What was his deal? Ian decided to ask. "Excuse me, comrade. Why are you sitting out here, sleeping against a wall?"

Once someone spoke to him, Heater opened his eyes and looked at the person. Sighing, he said, "I'm healing from a fight I had with a saiyan."

Saiyan? What the heck was a saiyan? Was this guy crazy? No...he was a big lizard-like dude who was still somewhat banged up. Still, this was very strange. "A Saiyan? What's that? And why did you fight? Are you a martial artist, too, comrade?"

Heater just looked at him like he was nuts. Did Humans not get off their planet very much? Eh, well, he wasn't one to talk. He had spent most of his life in the demon world. He sighed. "Saiyans are humanoid aliens, who look human, but, they usually have monkey tails, unless they get cut off, of course. As for why I was fighting him, well...He asked for it. And, yeah, I'm a martial artist. First got taught by my demoness mom when I was 10."

Ian was almost dumbstruck. Sure he'd seen people like that before, but he didn't think they were aliens. How the heck could an alien look so much like a human? Then again, most aliens he'd met acted human...for the most part anyway. Wait a minute. He said Demoness and Mother. Didn't he? "That's quite a story, comrade. You sure you didn't get hit too hard on the head?"

Heater gritted his teeth. Why him? Why couldn't he enjoy his nap in peace, without someone walking up to him, and, accusing him of being CRAZY? Suddenly, he pointed his left index and middle finger at the guy. "Are YOU sure that you're not going to get a finger ray to the gut, if you continue this line of conversation in which you accuse me of being crazy?"

Ian shot a frustrated look at the creature before him and clenched his fists. "You lookin' for another fight, comrade? I'm just sayin' that your story is rather far-fetched. Being the child of a demon...that's almost unbelievable. You'd better put that finger down if you don't want that head injury to become a reality."
|

Heater chuckled about the part where the guy said he was, 'unbelievable'. Lowering his fingers, he said, "Alright, then, if it's so unbelievable that my mom is a demon, then, why don't you let ask me you something. Are both of YOUR parents human?"
