Name: Shouta Iyazaki
Race: Human
Age: 14
Sex: Male
Alignment: Good
Hair Color: Light Blue
Hair Style: Unkempt, reaches lower neck
Eye Color: Black
Height: 5'5''
Body Appearance: Shouta is a far cry from a body builder, preferring leaner muscle over bulk, but his fighter's build is clear. He is short for his age and as such is a bit stocky, which adds to the effect. Aside from his height, his youth is accented further by a not-so-strong jawline and less-than-masculine voice. His hair recieves no special attention, hanging down in no special style almost to his shirt collar. The majority of the time, however, it is pushed up into an unruly spiky style due to the black headband he wears on a daily basis.
Clothes: Wears a blue training Gi equipped with a black cloth sash, and ordinary black boots. Also wears a 50kg weighted shirt beneath, sweatbands, and a headband (all black).
Ki/Energy Color: Light Blue
Quote: "I will be your strength."
Story: Once upon a time there were two brothers one year apart, Tomaki and Shoutaro. They belonged to the Iyazaki line, a line that had been in their village for many a generation. The pioneer Iyazaki established a dojo in his older age to teach his personal fighting style, which had heralded success in his life, and has been passed down the line since. Never had two been born so close in age, and the brothers were quickly set to rivals. They trained hard and finally, in their twenty third and fourth year, they met in a true battle. An official tournament was the setting, a ticket out of their home and into the world of fighting the prize. The younger, Shoutaro, after a grueling battle, was declared victor. That very same day, however, his wife, Kyou, gave birth. Shoutaro forfeited his victory, and instead inherited the family dojo at his young age to be with his family.
Their son was Ryouta, and it quickly became clear he had great potential in the art of battle. Shoutaro saw his dreams come alive again, through his son. But enough about him, our story's main character comes four years later. On a day which held no great tournament for Shoutaro, but a grueling day none the less, came the birth of his second son. The likeness to his father was so great that the boy's mother named him Shouta without a second thought. And so the family was complete, and the years went on. On Shouta's seventh birthday Tomaki returned for a visit, and his uncle was quick to share the story of his father's potential to be a great fighter to the two boys. Ryouta, already his father's star pupil, vowed to grow up to be the greatest fighter the Earth had ever seen for his father. Shouta became serious about his training, and began showing real signs of potential.
When Shouta was thirteen, his life was spelled out in simple facts. His mother was the best cook in town. His father ran the best dojo in town. His brother was the best fighter in town, and next year, when he was eighteen, would go out into the world and eventually become the best fighter of Earth. He himself would continue training diligently, and take the mantle of the dojo until his worldly brother returned from his travels and adventures to teach what he had learned to new generations. Unfortunately, a bananna yellow hover car had other ideas. Its ideas came in the form of a devastating crash via an intoxicated driver, permanently paralyzing Ryouta Iyazaki from the waist down.
Ryouta could never fight again. Could never even stand again. His father's hopes were crushed, and even moreso those of Ryouta himself. For Shouta, his simple facts changed. It was he who would become the champion of Earth, he who would realize his father's, and, now, his brother's lost dreams. With this deckaration his training rose to another level, guided by his brother and father. A week after his fourteenth birthday, Shouta decided to train outside the punching bag. Bestowed with the Iyazaki Gi and his brother's lucky headband, Shouta left his home town and headed out into the world. The beginning.
