Train with the fearsome Desert Bandit, Yamcha! He doesn't really have a dojo. He simply wanders around the planet sparring with anyone he wants to just for the thrill of it. This is where you are able to learn new techniques. Each technique takes 20 posts in this thread to learn. Every technique has an upgrade. To upgrade a technique you must take 10 more posts here. Once you have upgraded, you can either use the regular or upgraded form of it - you are not restricted to using the upgraded form only. To find out how many techniques and upgrades you can learn, click here. Shiro was wandering in a mostly empty area of the grasslands when he heard a commotion in the distance. Curious, as anyone would be, he headed in the direction of the noise. He could make out roughly humanoid shapes in the distance, the noises apparently being shouts and yells from whatever the figures were doing. From what he heard, Shiro assumed it to be sparring.

After a few more seconds, Shiro was able to make out details about the figures. Like how only one of them actually looked human, and not like the green skinned man from mars or something. Or that said human seemed to be fighting a dozen or so opponents at once. Or how one such opponent was flying at him this very second.

Shiro casually ducked under the thrown, at least he looked like he'd been thrown and wasn't just flying backwards of his own power, green man. There was a series of thuds as the man tumbled to a halt behind him. Shiro ignored this, continuing on to the main fight.

The closer he got, the more details he could see about the human fighter. His face was scarred somewhat badly, and his hair was messy and long. He had a roguish appearance that seemed especially suited to someone like a bandit.
Bandit...?

Shiro stepped out of the way as another creature, pink with four arms, flew past. Come to think of it, wasn't there a bandit in the legends of Goku's childhood? Yamcha, I think... the same one the Kai was talking about?

Before long, the fight was over. The bandit, whoever he was, was victorious, while his many opponents just seemed thankful they didn't get too badly hurt. Well, that was impressive. He didn't break a sweat, get hit, or move his right foot the whole battle.

The bandit fighter seemed to be talking to the other fighters, giving each individual pointers. Shiro heard things like, 'keep your arms closer,' 'don't reach so far,' and 'don't be afraid to retreat if you have to.' Sounds like dad after a day at the dojo.

When the group of fighters dispersed, Shiro walked up to the human fighter who remained. "Excuse me, are you the fighter named Yamcha?"
The man looked over and nodded. "That right. I'm Yamcha, the former desert bandit. And you are?"

"Shiro Miyamoto." Shiro said, extending his hand. Yamcha shook it and Shiro got to the point. "I was wondering if you would train me a bit."
Yamcha smiled and nodded. "Sure, what do you need help with?"

1.
"Well," Shiro began, "the wolf fang fist is your technique, right? Your specialty?" Yamcha nodded and Shiro continued. "I want to get better at it. Could you help me?"

2.
"So you already know it, do ya?" Yamcha asked, and Shiro nodded in reply. "Wow, I never thought it would become that popular when I developed it. Sure, I can help you work on it. Maybe I can even teach you its upgraded form."
"Upgraded form?"

3.
Yamcha nodded. "Yeah. Normally the wolf fang fist only boosts your skill, but I've found a way that boosts speed and strength, too. Wanna learn it?"
Shiro nodded. "Yeah, if you don't mind."

Yamcha laughed. "'Course I don't. It gets boring around here if I don't have someone to train. So, ready to begin?"
Shiro nodded. "Whenever you are."

Yamcha nodded. "Alright, let's see how good you are with the original version, first. Attack me."
Shiro nodded and got into a stance before quickly dashing at Yamcha.

Shiro launched a series of quick palm strikes at Yamcha's chest and stomach, but none of them got through. Yamcha was just too fast and too skilled at blocking for any of his attacks to land. Yeah, he's the real deal, alright.

When he was done with the palm strikes, Shiro executed a quick snap kick at Yamcha's stomach, which was also easily blocked. "Not bad." Yamcha told him. "You're pretty good at controlling your movements and recovering when your attack is blocked."

Shiro accepted Yamcha's praise with a nod, but kept silent so the bandit could continue. "Alright, as for the wolf wind attack, uh, that's what I call the upgrade, by the way. Anyway, you just sorta, hit harder and faster."

That's a very... um... basic description. Shiro thought. Obviously, Yamcha argeed. "Look, I'll just show you the difference. Let's see, your power level's about here..."

10.
After a couple of hours trying to figure out how the technique worked, Shiro finally learned the secret. He thanked Yamcha and headed off to find another place for training. Hopefully, the next person I find will know how their own technique works.
