In a great grassy meadow, the Elder Kai sits around looking at comics, and not much else, but he is more powerful than you may expect!
His menacing capacities can unlock your hidden powers!
When you have enough posts for a major transformation, but lack the requirements (haven't mastered the one below, not dead, etcetera...), and you have at least +100 Karma, then you qualify for having your hidden power released!
The ceremony involves standing absolutely still for hours, while Elder Kai walks around doing a weird dance. Then you must sit down while he holds his hands out at you for a few more hours. Provided you were able to bear the awful awful BOREDOM of it all, you will finally unlock that major transformation you were missing.
Note that, if you wish, you can change around the appearance, so, for example, changing Super Saiyan 3 to just being something that looks like your base form, like how it was for Mystic Gohan.
The ceremony takes a minimum of 1 hour, and you must make a minimum of 30 posts about the boring ceremony.
Exception: If you're alive, then the 5000-post major, to make up for the fact you normally have to be dead to achieve it, will take 25 hours (5 hours of standing, and 20 of sitting), just like it did for Gohan.
Effects of being Mystic
-Once the ceremony is over, notify someone on staff to change your profile so that it shows 'Mystic' in front of your race.
-Anyone who is already a Mystic cannot go through the ceremony again, unless they lost their Mystic powers.
-The ceremony unlocks the highest major transformation you have enough posts to reach, regardless of whether you fulfill its special requirements (all lower transformations are unlocked, too, of course).
-The unlocked transformation can be used as if mastered! Which means minimal ki-drain! However, you will still need to collect 50 posts of battle in that transformation before you can go on to your next major transformation.
-All transformations, major AND minor, after the major that was unlocked, will take an extra 500 posts to reach.
Basically, Mystic is a great way to get a lot of power as soon as possible, but it slows down your growth later on.
Losing Mystic
If you ever end up with -50 Karma, your soul will be tarnished and the Mystic powers lost.
When this happens, the highest major transformation you unlocked and all minors after it will be temporarily lost.
The major below what you just lost will then lose its mastery.
However, any posts towards mastering the major you just lost are taken away and then transferred towards mastering the major below it, so it's not all that bad.
However, all transformations that you have not yet unlocked have their requirements put back to normal (no 500 post delay).
