14) Raynak was through taunting and cheering about what he was doing now. Now, he remained focused. He looked on as Ian managed to dodge the full blunt of his attack, though he knew Ian wouldn't take it lying down... As he came in with his attack, Raynak had plenty of time to prepare. Bending his knees, Raynak dives to his right, avoiding said punch... " Oh boy..... Better watch that one.... That doesn't look too healthy..."Rolling through the dive, Raynak front flips to his feet, quickly turning to face Ian, and assuming his stance once more. "Nice try! Though I'm not done yet!" Rushing back in at Ian, Raynak stops once within 3 feet, leaping straight up, and sends a stretched punched down at him. Aimed to hit him in the jaw at a downward angle, as he was above Ian, sending the punch down (right fist). (OOC: lol 4 sho. Still, sorry again bro G2G for now. BBL )

Since Raynak had dove and rolled just as Ian had previously done, Ian had plenty of time to recover from his own attack and prepare himself for the small Namekian's return assault. The stretchy punch again? I guess that works as well as any normal punch. Better in mid-air. Ian thought as he rushed towards Raynak, bringing up his left arm and thrusting his forearm outward to parry the punch as he jabbed his other fist at Raynak's chest. Since Raynak was in the air, dodging would likely prove difficult.
(OOC: Ah, it's alright. I have time to kill tonight, so I'll job as Garek and watch Youtube till you get back.)

Raynak anticipated this, knowing full well Ian was capable of parrying his intial punch. Which is why he stretched the punch, to create distance, allowing himself to see just what Ian would do as counter action. As Raynak's punch is parried, he quickly retracts said fist. As Ian jabs at his chest, Raynak had plenty of time to react, even in the air. Raynak would counter by swinging his left foot out to collide with Ian's punch. As foot and fist met, Raynak backflips away, using Ian's fist as a stepping stone.
Whilst flipping back, Raynak hurls a orb of crimson ki at Ian, aimed at his general torso region, before he landed to the ground. Once on the ground, he'd take his stance once again, readying himself for Ian once more.

Ian gritted his teeth as Raynak leaped off of his attack and fired a blast at him. He used the same fist he'd punched with to slice the blast in half, causing the two halves to explode around him and temporarily create a small cloud of smoke. Ian saw Raynak just before he landed, so he had the mental image of where his friend would be. He then fired his another energy blast of his own from the smoke, aiming for where Raynak was at currently.

Raynak's breathing was becoming heavy now. The little Namekian reaching the extents of his endurance... Still, he kept focus on the fight. He still had some fight in him, and even if he were going to bite the dust, Ian wouldn't have it easy. While the smoke may have served as a good distraction for someone with average senses, Raynak's acute Namekian senses wouldn't be swayed.
As the ki shot erupted from the smoke, Raynak braces himself.....
"See how you like this, Ian! Eh-yah!"
Jumping up, Raynak punts the ki shot back towards Ian, sending a fierce jumping side kick to the energy, effectively reflecting it back at Ian. The smoke had long since cleared, so he could see exactly where he was kicking it. Aiming it to smack into Ian's face.

Ian was about to do another attack by leaping into the air and out of the smoke when he felt his own blast smack him in the chest and knock him to the ground. Ack...hit by my own attack. This has to be the worst thing to happen so far. It even put me on the ground. Ah well...better my attack to ground me than his. Ian wasn't quite as far along in terms of lack of energy as Raynak, but it was clear that this fight had made him weary.
He wouldn't give up, though. Now was the time he had to work the hardest. His limits would never expand if he never pushed them. He stood up and rushed over to Raynak, bringing down a double fisted axe handle smash. He even dropped to a knee to add even greater momentum from the fall to his attack.

Raynak brings both his arms up to block the powerful overhead smash, but he just lacked the strength nessecary to fully repel it....
"Ahhh!! Damn...!"
The force of the attack sends him to one knee as well, as he shakes under the pressure of stopping Ian's attack from smashing into his head. With little options in the current dilemma, Raynak shifts his arms to the right, from over top of him, effectively shifting himself from underneath the smash attack. Dropping his guard now, Raynak rolls to his left, barely managing an escape.
Staggering to his feet, Raynak once again takes his stance, though a bit slumped over now, breathing heavily....
"Damnit....! I-I'm runnin' on almost empty here... And he knows it.... That's why he's rushin' in... Heh... Well, just gotta wait for my chance then..."

Ian didn't stop attacking. As soon as he was able to recover from his own attack, Ian rushed again. This time he came in low. He was almost at Raynak's level when he swung his leg in a sweeping arc, aiming to knock Raynak's feet out from under him. This attack was another feign, however. As he did this motion Ian would bring both hands up to eye level beside his head on each side and closed his eyes. "SOLAR FLARE!!!" A blinding light of incredible intensity would brighten the area for a few moments now. Raynak might end up being blinded temporarily if he didn't cover his eyes before hand.

Raynak braced himself for Ian's feint kick, taking a step back, though it was all for not.....
"Argh! W-What's this?! Too BRIGHT!!"
Raynak had never encountered the Solar Flare technique before... And thus, falls victim to it's effects. Though along with Ian's clever ploy, it really helped reassure it to work. Raynak grasps his face over his eyes, staggering back. He couldn't see anything but white.... Bringing his guard up instinctively, all he could do was try his best to defend himself now.....

Ian stepped to the left of Raynak, but spun the opposite direction so that his kick would come from Raynak's front instead of from his side. He aimed the kick for his comrade's chest yet again. I was hoping that Solar Flare would be effective. Looks like it might pay off in the tournament.

Raynak's senses helped him get a general idea of where Ian was, though since Ian aimed the kick to come from the front, rather than the left, Raynak falls prey to the attack. Hit in the chest, Raynak gets the wind knocked out of him....
"ACK!!"
Raynak is sent tumbling back from the kick, about 15 yards away from Ian. Finally coming to a stop, face first in the dirt, Raynak puts both palms out to either side of him, pressing them to the ground....
"N-No.... I-It isn't over yet.... I-I'm not through wit ya yet, I-Ian...."
Baring through, Raynak pushes himself up to stand. The little guy had tons of heart and determination. A feint smirk on his face as his left eye was closed, peering through his open right eye at Ian. His arms hanging loosely to the side, though he soon brings them up, taking his stance for one final go....
"D-Don't tell me that's the best ya got..... C'mon! You won't keep me down that easy!"

Ian was breathing pretty heavy himself now. "You want it, comrade, then you'll get it!" As sweat drips from his brow, Ian rushes at Raynak again. He leaps over Raynak's head and spins one hundred and eighty degrees, swinging his leg up while in mid jump. As he comes down he drops his leg down towards his friend's head."

Raynak couldn't move fast enough to evade, so all he could do was watch carefully and brace himself. As Ian's kick comes crashing down for his head, Raynak brings both his arms up to lessen the blow. Though still, Raynak is sent crashing into the ground below face first. Lying still, it seemed as if Ian had been victorious... Though not just yet... Bringing his face out the dirt, facing Ian, a smirk on his face...
"Gotcha! KAI-KOUSEN!!"
As he lifted his head, his two little antenna began to cackle with crimson electricity, and then ZAP!! The volts would come rushing for Ian. Hopefully, with his ploy of being KO'd, he would have gotten Ian to drop his guard, and catch him with the voltage.

Ian was indeed under the impression that Raynak had been put down for the count by his axe kick. Apparently, though, he was wrong, and he got the shock of his life for it, too. He was utterly paralyzed by the strength of the current. It seemed as though there was nothing he could do. If Raynak had an attack he was going to use to gain a victory, now was the time.

Raynak staggers to his feet at that, now that Ian was paralyzed, he could go out with a "bang" of sorts. Taking one knee, Raynak prepares himself....
"It's all or nothing! AHHHH!"
Raynak then burst toward Ian, and once within range, dives head-first to collide into Ian's stomach with all the power he had left. With a good 10 yards of distance, it would definately be enough to floor Ian one last time if it hit. After which, hit or miss, Raynak would fall onto his back, laughing feintly as he was exhausted beyond belief now.

Ian was too stunned from the shock, still, to do anything about the attack. It hit its mark just as planned and dropped him to the ground where he gasped for air. He had the wind knocked out of him by that attack. It would take him a moment or two to recover. He wasn't unconscious, but his recovery was too slow to merit an attack at this point. He just got to his feet.

"Haha.... I got ya... *puff* I got ya one last time.... *wheeze*"
Both eyes closed now, Raynak had a bright smile on his face. Tired, he couldn't bring himself to stand like Ian had done. He was beat, there wasn't anything left in the tank.... Still, Raynak gave it all he had, and he was proud of himself none the less....
"You win.... This time... Heh..."
His chest inflates and deflates with each breath took.

Ian breathed a huge sigh of relief and satisfaction when he heard Raynak's words and saw him basically collapsed and sprawled out on the ground. Ian had it in him to go another attack or two, but after that last hit that Raynak scored on him he couldn't have gone much longer. It was the best training he could have hoped for. "You...did...well...comrade."
OOC: Fight officially over. Yay!

After Ian and Raynak had rested for a while, Ian got to his feet again and waved goodbye to his comrade, "Thanks for the help, Raynak. I hope to have another battle with you sometime soon. I'm heading back into the city to buy some new training weights. I think the ones I have are getting a bit too light to be of any help. Hop on my back and I'll give you a ride back. We can decide what we'll do next after that."
Ian turned his back to Raynak and motioned for him to hop on. He then waited.

After gaining some strength back, Ranka gets on Ian's back as instructed. Wrapping his little arms around Ian's neck, and lying against his back...
"Alright then, let's go. You owe me some ice cream for that fight, Ian! I almost had ya..."

Ian chuckled, "You really enjoy your ice cream, eh, comrade?" Without giving Raynak time to respond, Ian takes off sprinting at full speed. Since the weights he was wearing were no longer adequate for his training, he took off much faster than even he expected. Raynak might have trouble hanging on.

"W-Whoa!"
Raynak gets out as Ian had increased in speed, clearly the fight had worked out better than either of them had expected. Raynak would hang on tight as the two of them exit the plains.

Sprinting out of the city, Ace is thinking far too much to pay any real attention to where he's going. He seems to be doing just fine despite that, however, for now at least.

But all too soon, Ace failed, face-first, into the massive leg of, of all things under the sun, a Tyranosaurus-fucking-Rex. Stumbling back a few steps from the impact with what might as well have been a steel girder, Ace's face went even more pale than it usually was.

"Holy crapgeist... Come on, this is just unfair!" Ace shouted.
The T-Rex turned around, and when it's eyes fell on Ace, it let out a roar, the force of which knocked Ace flat as well as hammering at his eardrums with the sound.

Ace opened his eyes and saw the T-Rex drawing back, his jaws open wide, and then his head came down like a thunderbolt, catching a mouthful of grass and rocks as Ace rolled out of the way and sprang to his feet.

Sprinting away in the same general direction he had been going, Ace jumped when he heard another roar and the slow, heavy footfalls as the T-Rex shifted his ponderous bulk into a run after the unfortunate Kai hybrid.

6.
"CRAPCRAPCRAPCRAP!!!" Ace shouted as he panic-sprinted as fast as his legs could carry him. The T-Rex, even though its footfalls were so damnably slow, still covered great distance with each stride, and so stayed fairly close behind even when this extra speed was put on.

When Ace looked back, his sunglasses fogged up from the T-Rex's breath. Letting out a high-pitched scream, Ace spazzed even more, zigging and zagging as he ran around clumps of grass and rocks.

The T-Rex just plowed ahead, through the grass and over the rocks, staying even with Ace and lunging at him to try and nom him, but just ending up with more grass and dirt. Ace had barrel-rolled out of the way.
